Fun, Friends, and Philanthropy

This month marked the company's annual Bowl-a-thon to support Junior Achievement. This year, I was given the pleasure to be the team captain for what our department voted on for team name "Living on a Spare" It was met with fun, friends, and sweatbands.

All those who attended had a wonderful time and made many wonderful memories. Mustache tattoos and all.  I thank God in these moments for allowing me to participate in wonderful experiences.

5 year Pin

January marked 5 years with my company.  As I look back upon that time and can see the road stretched out long behind me. I see a road filled with so much joy, laughter, tears and memories both personal and professional.  In the past 5 years my heart was healed, a Masters Degree earned, loved ones were lost, and new loved ones born.

Five years later and I my life is in a great place. I am in a role I love and enjoy, and my relationship with my family is great. Thank you Lord for loving me and helping me to make good choices. I truly know that when I trust in you Lord, you will always make my path straight. (Proverbs 3:5-7)

Though the outstretched road head of me may be unclear, I take comfort in the hope that the next 5 years will bring me more of life's riches. As I experience God's blessing with each day that I get to open my eyes and start a new day.

Thank you family, friends, co-workers and all those whom I love and who have touched my heart. 5 years with this company has truly been one of the greatest blessings that the Lord has bestowed upon me. Thank you all for continuing to make my life rich, joyful, and truly magical.

Little Brother All Grown Up

It has been a little over a month now since by baby brother got married.  I am so happy for him, his daughter, and my new sister-in-law!  It got me thinking about the times when were just kids no older than my niece. The times we would play in the leaf piles in the fall, the powers of will while standing in the hall on if the hall light would stay on, and sleep overs with friends playing make-over (he looked pretty good in blue eye shadow and a fluffy headband).

Though I am a little sadden that those days are over, it brings happiness to see my brother take this next step in his life, and he could not have met a more lovely and God loving woman. So though a little late and a few thousand miles away, I say congratulations to you both, and I look forward to making many more wonderful memories with our new sister.
