School's Out for Summer!

Yeah! Last day of school was last week! Hurray!!!! I got sub for a bunch a really great kids (once you get to know them) for the last 2 weeks of school. It was fun! and now . . . . . I need to get a job. LOL Before that can start, I am going on a well deserved trip to DISNEYLAND! Yes it is time to make my pilgrimage to my own personal mecca. I will let you know how it goes! I head out tommorrow!

This week in substitue land

This week I got the chance to sub twice! yay for me! :) Monday I substituted for 5th grade and today i taught 8th grade science. After Monday I didn't know if I wanted to do it anymore. However Friday was a blast! Usually i introduce my self as Miss C (mostly cause little kids can't say my name right), however Monday i was introduced. one kid actually asked if he could call me Miss Carne Asada. Oye!Have to admit thought it was funny. Then they kept asking me if I was famous. I replied not today but perhaps tomorrow. Come to find out later, that they thought I was the girl from hairspray. ( i know go ahead and laugh, my sister thought it was hilarious). To day was better! The kids were well behaved and I lucked out! they just finished human development (aka sex ed) and I got them started on rockets and space. It was fun times. Do you think the fact that I stopped by Walgreen's and bought 2 bags of candy helped? Hmmmm huh i guess i will never know (wink) but stay tuned for more crazy adventures of a substitute (that would make a good book).
